Everton boss Roberto Martinez has thanked the support of Goodison Park, in particular the Gwladys Street end, which he descibed as unique.
Everton have twice found themselves behind in the last two games, and both times have equalised when attacking the famous Gwladys Street stand, which Martinez has thanked.
“The fans were magnificent,” said Martinez. “We always bank on that and we are very fortunate for the voice and feeling you get when you are attacking the Gwladys Street – it’s unique and we thank them for that.
“It’s periods like now where we need our fans and I think we’ve been an incredible example of how to face adversity as a club.
“Now we want to pay our fans back with strong performances like today, but with three points at the end of it.”
