Everton have rejected a paltry bid from Spurs for Kevin Mirallas, claims the Daily Mail.
The London side apparently offered around £3m plus a deal for Aaron Lennon in return for the Belgian’s signature earlier this month, but Roberto Martinez told them where they could shove their offer.
Spurs are reportedly ready to offer £5m cash plus Lennon before the transfer window closes, but for a player with more than 12 months on his current Everton contract that seems to be a very low offer.
Mirallas – despite his penalty miss against West Brom – has been one of Everton’s better performers when he has been fit this season, and Martinez would be mad to lose him for anything less than top dollar.
No doubt the various media outlets will cling to this “deal” right up until the window slams shut at 11pm tomorrow evening, and you can tune in to our LIVE deadline day podcast from 10pm by checking back to the site for your last hour of the transfer window.
